No Shows
A golfer failing to honor a reservation made in his or her name shall be designated a no- show. A no-show is anyone not canceling a reservation tee time within the Clear Lake Golf Course cancellation parameters (as above policies); showing up for play with fewer than the number of golfers for whom the reservation was made, or failing to personally honor a reservation made in his or her name, unless inclement weather prevents play. The person / tournament organizer who booked the tee time will be subject to a $50 NO SHOW FEE per player to the credit card on file. Clear Lake Golf Course reserves the right to register any golfers in the vacated time(s). Weather forecasts and assumed inclement weather do not constitute reason for no show.
Group Pairings
The Clear Lake Golf Course has the right to match any number of golfers less than 4 with other players to form a foursome.
Inclement Weather
Very rarely do we have unplayable conditions at the Clear Lake Golf Course. If the Head Superintendent or Head Professional deem the course unplayable rainchecks (see below) will be issued. Players are responsible to call the proshop to see if the course is open for play.
When golfing and inclement weather is in the area, play will be suspended if deemed unsafe. This will be singled by ONE loud horn sound. At this time, please stop golfing and seek shelter immediately. When play is safe to resume, TWO loud horn sounds will be heard, which at this time you may resume your golf game.
Rain Check Policy
“Rain Out” is defined as an unplayable course, as determined by the Head Superintendent or Head Golf Professional. Rain checks will be issued, only for inclement weather, on a prorated basis (play 6 holes get a rain check for 12 holes). Players are responsible to provide their rain check receipts at the proshop when they wish to use them. Without a rain check receipt there is no record and they will be dismissed.
Pace of Play
The Clear Lake Golf Course will extend every effort to ensure that a round of golf does not exceed 4 hours and 45 minutes. Players failing to maintain their pace by dropping more than a hole from those in front will be given a warning from the course host (see below). If they have failed to close the gap by the next hole, they must pick up their balls and proceed to the next tee. The program is necessitated for the enjoyment of all other golfers on the course.
Fivesomes
The Clear Lake Golf Course will allow 5 golfers per group if approved by the proshop clerk and or the starter at the first tee. It is the groups responsibility to keep up with play or split up depending on the situation. The course host has the right to monitor the situation and do what is in the best interest of Pace of Play.
